Festival-goers forced to take shelter under door or window lintels, Rock’n Toques guests with their feet in the water, manholes in geyser mode… these are some of the images of the violent storm that fell, this Friday evening, on Saint-Brieuc.
Shortly after 8 p.m., when the two stages of the Art Rock festival were full, the first claps of thunder were heard. A veritable deluge followed, which lasted several tens of minutes.
After a short lull, the downpours started again. On Twitter, the Météo Bretagne site announced 20 mm of precipitation recorded in just twenty minutes, in Trégueux.

On the Art Rock site, festival-goers had to deal with these bad weather. Soaked feet for everyone and some difficulties of access due to the beginnings of flooding in the streets of the city center, but no interruption of the concerts.
Roads cut in Cesson, flooded stadium
This stormy phenomenon caused damage in other parts of the city. According to our information, roads were cut in the Cesson district and public buildings took on water. Also according to our information, the buildings of the Ehpad de Prévallon suffered flooding. At the Fred-Aubert stadium, half of the lawn was under water.
On the side of the port of Légué, it is a road covered with mud that motorists had to take. This was particularly the case on rue Adolphe-Le Bail, on the Plerin side, where according to local residents: “A river flowed in the middle of the road”. Once the storm passed, the road was nothing but mud and impassable.
Opposite, on the bank of Saint-Brieuc, near the port, the Gouédic river was particularly swollen carrying mud but also wood. Wood which had also been deposited on the roadway.
