Why put on a tan?
Fans of minimalism will surely grimace but yes, we add another step to our makeup routine. And believe us, this is one of the most crucial! The Bronzing powder, as its name suggests, is used to give a light tan to the skin by giving it a nice tan. A bit like blush, it gives relief to your face while giving a healthy glow. So why deprive yourself of it?
How to choose your Terracotta?
The small problem with bronzer is that if we choose it or apply it badly, our makeup can quickly be ruined. And because we wouldn’t want to end up with an old orange mark on the side of the face, here are our recommendations for choosing it:
- If you have the clear skin, prefer beige, pink or caramel colors pulling towards honey. Note that the slightly iridescent pigments look great on you!
- The dark to dark skin can proudly display apricot, golden, copper, brown and chocolate hues.
Whatever your complexion, avoid shades that are too dark or, on the contrary, too light. We will try to get as close as possible to the color of our tan, paying attention to the undertones : cold to sculpt the face, hot for a return-from-holiday effect. For the finish, the matte will naturally enhance the complexion while working on the shadowy areas, but if you like a glowy side, an iridescent bronzer with a silky finish will give your skin a nice glow.
How to apply your bronzer?
One thing to know: it is applied as the last step of our complexion makeup. Also remember that to really imitate the effects of the sun, it is applied to the bulging parts of the face : the cheekbones, the forehead, the chin and the bridge of the nose. If you are afraid of making a mistake, here is a very simple technique to remember: that of 3. Just draw an inverted 3, from her forehead to her chin for the most subtle rendering.

Fans of cream products will be delighted to learn that our favorite sun powder is available in a creamy version. We prefer to specify that these can be more difficult to work with if you are not used to it. We therefore suggest that you work the material with your finger or with a sponge for an ultra-cannon luminous rendering. What do we like with cream or liquid bronzer? The care formulation that is often associated with it: jojoba oil at Glossarydaisy extracts from KVD-Beautyhyaluronic acid in Charlotte Tilbury or even shea butter at RMS Beauty.
