Former members of the British Royal Family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have distanced themselves from Buckimgham Palace, when they chose to leave the UK to settle in California with their children. If relations have been somewhat tense between the couple and the other members of British royalty since this episode, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should still go to England, to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. For the record, the latter has reigned on the English throne for nearly 70 years, which is a record in this area.
To celebrate this event as it should be, the British royal family will organize many festivities over the next few days, while granting exceptional leave to British citizens, so that they can attend. After having been the subject of numerous debates in the British press, but also within Buckimgham Palace, the presence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at this event now seems to be recorded. The latter even received a concrete promise from the royal family, as revealed by the DailyMail Wednesday June 1, 2022. While the couple will be accompanied by their children Archie and Lilibet on British territory, they obtained the assurance of being protected by the unit Met’s Royalty and Specialist Protection.
Elizabeth II Jubilee: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be constantly surrounded by police
It was not a foregone conclusion for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, given that the son of Prince Charles regularly quarrels with the British Home Office concerning safety and security within the United Kingdom. As a reminder, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recently reinforced their personal security, by recruiting the former bodyguard of Michael Jackson. During their stay on British soil, the couple and their children will remain in their Windsor home: Frogmore Cottage. During the various festivities they will attend as part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will always be surrounded by police to ensure their safety. However, this close protection will not extend to certain private events to which the couple would go.
